Job Description:

Senior Freight Forwarder

£34k per annum, plus benefits

Leeds, LS12

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our freight forwarding client to recruit a Senior Freight Forwarder/Operations Co-Ordinator on a permanent, full time basis.

Based in LS12, our client is a privately owned, well established business who support their customers throughout the UK.

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertaking all aspects relating to the day-to-day operations of the export and import department
• Calculating freight quotations and building up jobs including customs entries
• Liaising with suppliers and customers
• Completing the appropriate documentation for shipments, invoicing and any other duties commensurate with the position
• Building solid working relationships with all customers
• Undertaking senior responsibilities within the department and helping to mentor junior team members

Person Specification:

• Experience in freight forwarding is essential
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• The ability to work as part of a team whilst managing your own workload
• Competent IT skills
