Job Description:

HR Advisor

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to provide specialist HR advice and support across a broad range of employee relations and workforce matters.

The role will involve advising and coaching managers on complex casework, including sickness absence, capability, disciplinary and grievance procedures, ill health retirement and phased returns, while ensuring advice is compliant with employment legislation and organisational policies.

You will also contribute to HR service improvements, support training and development, work closely with trade union representatives, and help build managers’ confidence in handling people-related issues.

Key requirements:

• Extensive generalist HR experience, including complex employee relations casework.

• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies and workforce practices.

• Experience advising and coaching managers on employee relations matters.

• Experience working with case management systems and within service level agreements.

• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR experience.

• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally.
