Senior Architect

Location: Leeds

Salary: £42-48,000

An award-winning architectural practice with a strong focus on its people is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join its established Leeds team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ARB-registered Architect with substantial post-qualification experience to take a leading role on projects from initial concept through to completion, while continuing to develop within a supportive, forward-thinking and design-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the design and delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages
• Prepare planning applications, technical information and construction packages, including specifications and schedules
• Coordinate project teams and work closely with external consultants and contractors
• Manage day-to-day communication with clients and key project stakeholders
• Monitor project programmes, budgets and quality to ensure successful delivery
• Review and develop technical information in line with current UK Building Regulations and relevant legislation
• Provide guidance, support and mentoring to less experienced members of the team
• Assist with design development, bids, tenders and client presentations as required
• Attend site meetings, project reviews and industry events to maintain and develop technical knowledge

Ideal Candidate:

• ARB-registered Architect with strong post-qualification experience
• Demonstrable experience taking projects through the full RIBA work stages
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning requirements and construction detailing
• Confident user of Revit with a good understanding of BIM processes
• Experience with NBS specification software would be advantageous
• Strong design, technical, communication and project management abilities
• Comfortable leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
• Well organised, proactive and capable of working both independently and as part of a wider team
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial
