Job Description:

Are you an experienced Service Manager or Operations Manager with a background in leading field based teams?

Our client, a leading provider of healthcare equipment and patient care solutions is looking for a Regional Service Manager to lead a team of Field Service Engineers across the North of England.

This is a people focused leadership role, combining team management, operational performance, customer relationships and continuous improvement. You’ll be responsible for setting clear expectations, monitoring KPIs and SLAs, supporting engineers in the field and identifying practical ways to improve service delivery.

A technical or engineering background would be advantageous but is not essential.

The role is home based, covering the North of England, with regular travel to customers and Field Service Engineers. There will also be occasional UK wide travel.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead, coach and develop a regional team of Field Service Engineers
• Monitor service performance, KPIs and SLAs, taking action where required
• Build a positive, accountable and high performing team culture
• Manage customer relationships and service escalations
• Support engineers with operational issues and ensure problems are resolved effectively
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and service delivery
• Work collaboratively with internal departments to keep regional operations running smoothly
• Contribute to wider UK service improvement initiatives

Who They’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in Service Management, Field Service Management, Operations Management, Engineering Management, or a similar leadership position
• Proven experience managing and developing field based or geographically dispersed teams
• Strong understanding of service performance, KPIs, SLAs and customer service
• Confident handling escalations and challenging situations
• A practical, solutions focused approach to problem solving
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• The confidence to make decisions and take ownership
• A full UK driving licence
