Purchase Ledger Team Leader | South Leeds – hybrid | £38,000

Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking for a role where you can take ownership, lead a small team and make a real impact?

We are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join a successful and growing business in Leeds. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role with responsibility for a small team, key client relationships and multiple UK and international entities.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Purchase Ledger function, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and efficiently, whilst supporting the team and wider business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and supporting a small Purchase Ledger team
• Taking ownership of the end-to-end Purchase Ledger process
• Managing key client and supplier relationships
• Processing invoices, payments, reconciliations and resolving queries
• Working across multiple UK and international entities
• Monitoring workloads, deadlines and team performance
• Producing regular reporting and providing accurate information to the wider business
• Supporting process improvements and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
• Playing a key role in a new system upgrade and implementation
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc projects and improvements

 

We're looking for someone with solid Purchase Ledger experience who is confident taking ownership of a busy function and supporting others.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong Purchase Ledger experience
• Previous experience of supervising or leading a small team
• Good understanding of the full Purchase Ledger process
• Experience working with multiple entities would be advantageous
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
• Confidence working with systems and supporting system changes/upgrades
