You’ll be joining a well-established, market-leading business with more than 100 years of success, but this is far from a traditional, standing-still environment. The business is investing in growth and expanding its own-label portfolio — and this role will play a key part in making that happen.

The Opportunity

As Own Label Product Manager, you’ll take ownership of products from the initial idea right through to launch and beyond.

You’ll combine product development, commercial decision-making, supplier management and creativity to develop products that customers want and that make commercial sense for the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering the own-label product and brand strategy
• Taking new products from concept through to launch
• Researching the market and competitors to identify new product opportunities
• Working closely with Marketing on brand positioning, propositions and packaging
• Finding, managing and developing supplier relationships
• Negotiating cost, quality, lead times and commercial terms
• Owning and delivering the Own Label Development Plan
• Managing product development projects and keeping launches on track
• Reviewing and signing off samples, packaging and final production
• Ensuring products meet all relevant legal, safety and quality requirements
• Working cross-functionally with Product Management, Procurement, Purchasing and Marketing

What We're Looking For

You don't necessarily need to come from an identical background. We're interested in people who have a strong understanding of product development, buying or category management and who have ideally worked with own-label or private-label products.

You could be a Product Manager, Buyer, Category Manager or Product Developer looking for more ownership and the opportunity to have a real influence on the product range.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience developing, sourcing or managing products
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
• Good commercial judgement and an eye for new opportunities
• An understanding of manufacturing, sourcing and product compliance
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• A creative mindset combined with a commercial approach
• The confidence to work across different teams and influence stakeholders
• A willingness to travel occasionally — around 5%
