We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Wakefield from January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation of music.

The successful candidate will join a supportive and ambitious school community where the arts are valued and students are encouraged to develop their musical talents both in and out of the classroom.

As a Music Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality learning experiences that promote student progress.
• Develop students' practical, theoretical, and performance skills.
• Encourage participation in extracurricular music activities, performances, and productions.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Music curriculum and department.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Music at secondary school level.
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
• Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
• Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for every student.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
