Machine Operator - Setter
 
£13.84 per hour + 10-20% shift allowance | 37 hours | Monday to Thursday | BD21
 
We're recruiting for a Machine Operator - Setter to join a well-established manufacturer based in Keighley.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded, hands-on and keen to develop their skills. You don't need to have years of manufacturing experience — a strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn and ability to understand how machinery works could be just as valuable.
 
As a Machine Operator - Setter, you'll be responsible for setting and operating machinery, working from production drawings and specifications, and carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
What you'll be doing:

• Setting and operating machinery using the correct tooling
• Reading production drawings and works orders
• Carrying out quality inspections and accurate weighing
• Identifying materials and ensuring products meet specifications
• Supporting tooling control and fault finding
• Working closely with Technical and Quality teams
• Working safely and maintaining high standards of quality

We're looking for a Machine Operator - Setter who is:

• Mechanically minded and confident working with machinery
• A good problem solver with strong attention to detail
• Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Able to read and understand production drawings
• Quality-focused with a strong work ethic

Previous manufacturing, machine setting or cold forming experience would be advantageous, but mechanical interest and aptitude are key. The role could suit someone looking to move into a more technical manufacturing position and develop their skills.
 
Hours & benefits:

• £13.84 per hour to start
• 10-20% shift allowance depending on shift
• 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday
• Rotating shift patterns, including early shifts
• Example shifts: 4:15am-1:30pm and 7:00am-4:15pm
