Loading Shovel Driver

South Kirkby | Waste & Recycling

£15.24 per hour | 4 on 4 off | Days & Nights

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working in partnership with a busy waste recycling facility based in South Kirkby, who are looking for an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator looking for a long-term position within a busy industrial and recycling environment.

The Role

As a Loading Shovel Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating loading shovel equipment across the recycling facility.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently across the site
• Loading and moving waste and recyclable materials
• Feeding processing machinery and waste streams
• Loading vehicles and stockpiling materials
• Carrying out daily checks on the loading shovel and reporting any defects
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• Following all site health & safety procedures
• Supporting the wider site team with general duties when required

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Have proven experience operating a Loading Shovel
• Hold a valid Loading Shovel licence
• Be confident operating heavy mobile plant within a busy industrial environment
• Have a strong understanding of health & safety
• Be reliable, safety-conscious and hardworking
• Be comfortable working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including days and nights
• Ideally have previous experience within waste, recycling, quarrying or heavy industrial environments

Previous Loading Shovel experience and a valid licence are essential for this position.
