Protocol Education is recruiting enthusiastic, caring and reliable EYFS Teaching Assistants to support nurseries, nursery classes and Reception settings across local schools in Pontefract.

As a Supply EYFS Teaching Assistant, you’ll support children in Nursery and Reception, helping them learn, develop and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
• Working with children individually and in small groups
• Supporting Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED)
• Encouraging children's communication and language development
• Supporting early literacy and numeracy activities
• Helping children develop independence and confidence
• Supporting indoor and outdoor learning and play
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
• Building positive relationships with children and staff
• Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies

We’re looking for candidates who:

• Hold a Level 2 Early Years qualification or equivalent
• Have experience working with children, ideally within an EYFS, nursery or primary setting
• Have a genuine passion for working with young children
• Are caring, patient and enthusiastic
• Can build positive relationships with children
• Are adaptable and confident working in different school environments
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding
• Are reliable and committed to supporting children's development
