HGV Class 2 Multi Drop Driver 
Location: Leeds, LS10 
Salary: £36,000 per annum + £26 tax-free night-out allowance
Overtime: Time and half after 45 hours
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, average 45–50 hours per week 
Nights Out: Typically Monday & Tuesday, with up to 4 nights out depending on route

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an HGV Class 2 Multi-Drop Driver to join our clients established transport operation. 

The Role 

This is a hands-on driving and delivery position, responsible for delivering doors, hardware and associated home products to customers across the UK. 

The role involves a combination of driving, multi-drop deliveries and significant manual handling. Deliveries are predominantly made to residential properties, so drivers must be comfortable handling heavy and sometimes awkward items. 

Drivers will typically complete up to 12 deliveries per day, although the number of drops will vary depending on the route. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle across the UK. 

• Complete nationwide multi-drop deliveries. 

• Deliver doors, hardware and associated home products to residential customers. 

• Safely load, unload and manually handle heavy and bulky products. 

• Provide a professional and customer-focused service at every delivery. 

• Ensure goods are delivered safely and in excellent condition. 

• Complete vehicle checks and report any defects or issues. 

• Follow delivery schedules, routes and company procedures. 

• Complete delivery paperwork and/or electronic delivery records accurately. 

• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation. 

• Work safely at all times, particularly when carrying out manual handling. 

Experience & Requirements 

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence. 

• Valid Driver CPC qualification. 

• Valid Digital Tachograph Card. 

• No major endorsements and no more than 6 points 

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic. 

• Good customer service skills. 

• Ability to work independently and manage a delivery schedule. 

• Physically capable of carrying out regular manual handling. 

• Reliable, punctual and professional. 

Newly passed HGV Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply. 

Previous Class 2 multi-drop experience is advantageous but not essential. Our client will provide full in-house support and training to help newly qualified drivers develop their confidence, product knowledge, delivery skills and understanding of the company's processes. 

This makes the role an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Class 2 driver looking to gain valuable experience with an established company. 

Important – Manual Handling 

This is not a straightforward driving role. 

The position involves regular and sometimes heavy manual handling, including loading and unloading doors and other home-related products and carrying deliveries into residential properties. 

Candidates must therefore be physically capable of carrying out the manual aspects of the role safely and be comfortable working in a hands-on delivery environment.
