Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Leeds
£28,000 – £30,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company based in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Quantity Surveying graduate who is looking to begin their career within the construction industry and gain hands-on commercial experience across live projects.

You will work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff, receiving full support and training as you develop.

Duties will include:

• Assisting with cost planning and project budgeting
• Preparing and reviewing subcontractor enquiries
• Comparing quotations and assisting with subcontractor appointments
• Supporting the preparation of valuations and payment applications
• Monitoring project costs and expenditure
• Assisting with variations and change control
• Helping with final accounts
• Attending site and commercial meetings
• Working closely with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• General commercial administration across construction projects

The ideal candidate:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related construction discipline
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and organisational ability
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Keen to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying
• Previous placement or construction experience would be beneficial but is not essential

Package:

• £28,000 – £30,000 salary
