Estimator

Remediation, Groundworks & Enabling Works

Leeds | Up to £45,000 + car allowance

We're recruiting an Estimator for a contractor delivering remediation, groundworks and enabling works projects across the UK.

You'll work directly with the Pre-Construction Manager from the Leeds office, pricing new opportunities and helping turn tender enquiries into workable project plans. This is a good opportunity for an estimator who enjoys being close to the work and having direct input into bids.

The role

• Review drawings, specifications and tender information to understand the scope of work.
• Prepare estimates, cost build-ups and tender submissions.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify risks, exclusions and opportunities before tenders are submitted.
• Work with the pre-contract and delivery teams to make sure bids reflect how the work will be carried out.
• Attend occasional site visits when needed.

What we're looking for

You'll have estimating experience with a contractor delivering groundworks, civil engineering, remediation, demolition or enabling works. You should be comfortable working through tender information, building up costs and managing subcontractor enquiries.

Experience pricing contaminated-ground remediation or asbestos-related groundworks would be particularly useful, but strong estimating experience in the wider sector is also of interest.

The package

• Salary up to £45,000, depending on experience.
• Car allowance of £400-£500 per month.
• Leeds office base with one or two days a week working from home.
• Occasional site visits.
• Direct working relationship with the Pre-Construction Manager.
