We are recruiting for an Electrical Projects Supervisor / Contracts Engineer to join an established and growing electrical contractor based from their Bradford office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrician, Electrical Supervisor, Site Manager or junior Project Manager who has experience running small teams/projects and is looking to progress into a more structured, contracts role.

The business is particularly interested in someone looking to take the next step in their career, so you do not necessarily need extensive contracts management experience. A strong electrical background, some supervisory/management experience and the ambition to progress are key.

The Role

Working from the Leeds office, you will support the management and delivery of electrical projects from planning through to completion.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the delivery of multiple electrical projects
• Coordinating site teams, labour and subcontractors
• Liaising with clients, site management and internal teams
• Monitoring project progress, programme and quality
• Assisting with procurement and project requirements
• Attending sites and project meetings when required
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and to the required standards
• Supporting the commercial and operational management of projects
• Working closely with the wider contracts and management team

There will be a requirement to work away occasionally, typically around one night per week depending on project requirements, with accommodation and associated expenses covered.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates should have:

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations
• 5+ years' experience as a qualified Electrician
• Around 1–2 years' experience in a supervisory or management position
• SSSTS or SMSTS, either currently held or previously held
• Experience overseeing electrical teams and/or smaller projects
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A desire to progress into a contracts/project management position

Salary & Benefits

The package will depend on experience and whether the successful candidate joins at Contracts Supervisor or Contracts Engineer level:

• £43,000 – £60,000 basic salary DOE
• Approx. £5,000 car allowance

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 8:45am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:45am – 3:45pm

This would particularly suit an Electrical Supervisor or Site Manager who enjoys the management side of projects and is ready to move away from being permanently site-based into a long-term contracts career.
