CNC Machinist – Milling and Turning Lathes

The Job

• Operate a range of machining tools including CNC machines to repair or manufacture components according to drawings and sample.
• Run and Operate Siemens CNC lathes and millers
• Produce high-quality precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for efficient production.
• Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using measuring equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing instructions.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools, including calibration and cleaning, to ensure optimal performance.
• Measure finished products using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

About you

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner and/or CNC Miller.
• Ability to set and operate CNC machinery independently.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and cutting practices.
