Assistant Site Manager

Location: Wakefield 
Project: £32m Industrial Unit
Duration: ASAP – May 2027
Rate: £220 – £270 per day
Role: Assistant Site Manager

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join a major £32m industrial unit project in Wakefield

Reporting directly to the Site Manager / Senior Site Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the site, combining site-based responsibilities with the associated paperwork and project administration.

The Role

• Supporting the Site Manager and Senior Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the project
• Assisting with site inductions and onboarding of contractors
• Managing and maintaining site paperwork and documentation
• Assisting with RAMS, risk assessments and compliance
• Monitoring works and subcontractors out on site
• Managing plant records / plant sticks
• Supporting site meetings and coordination with subcontractors
• Using digital site management systems, ideally Procore
• Helping ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements

Requirements

• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid
• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or similar role
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Comfortable working both on site and with project documentation
• Tech savvy with good IT skills
• Procore experience would be highly desirable
